About us

Architecture for a better everyday life, wherever you live, work and thrive

Liljewall is a creative, coaching and sustainable architectural office. We spend every day making life a little smoother, more fun and more beautiful. Together, we are around 260 colleagues in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö who develop and have fun together.

Some might say it’s grey and unglamorous, but weekdays are life. Children are born. Someone starts preschool. Some are cared for. Others get married. Some move in together. Others apart. Companies are started, they grow and look for new premises. The architecture is there all the time. For people in all stages of life. It simplifies, improves and enhances.

Founded in Gothenburg in 1980, Liljewall is now entirely employee-owned. We believe this gives us a greater sense of ownership and commitment, enabling us to be more engaged in everything we do – an approach that ultimately benefits you as our client.

Before each year, we select one or more organizations that we choose to sponsor with funds and commitment, often focusing on causes that matter deeply to us. Here are the 2026 initiatives:

At Liljewall we value honesty, openness and responsibility. We cherish everyone’s equal value and to act with respect in meetings with others. We believe in an environment where it should feel safe and natural to talk to us if you discover something that shouldn’t occur.

By connecting experienced BIM experts, programmers, innovative architects, visualizers and marketers, we continuously develop the role of tomorrow’s architect.

Through a dedicated and integrated approach to sustainability, we consider resources, circularity, and human wellbeing throughout every stage of the design process. By 2030, Liljewall aims to create architecture that promotes social inclusion and improved health while achieving net-zero climate impact, contributing to a resilient and democratic society.
